NY Data Center ColocationGuard New POP For Hibernia Networks

Telecommunication services provider Hibernia Networks, has opened a new Point of Presence (PoP) at ColocationGuard, Brooklyn, New York data center CGNY1.

The Hibernia Networks POP improves the connectivity opportunities that ColocationGuard offers to its colocation customers and gives them access to a global network that spans 25 countries and connects to more than 220 PoPs.

Hibernia Networks offers low latency network connectivity between North America and Europe. It operates Autonomy Systems AS5580, AS8582, AS60666.

Joe Hilt, Vice President Sales, Americas at Hibernia Networks said that the company is “delighted to expand our footprint in New York and offer customers connecting through ColocationGuard’s Brooklyn facility access to our robust IP backbone”.

ColocationGuard’s carrier-neutral facility features more than 50,000 square feet of available space. It also offers high-density server environment with a fully redundant power architecture. It is a SSAE16 certified data center outfitted with a multi-stage security system, including integrated CCTV, biometrics and a 24/7 on-site monitoring staff. According to ColocationGuard, the power equipment is built with N+2 redundancy in case of component failure and the building draws power from two independent power grids, backed by three diesel generators with 12,000 gallons of reserve fuel, enough to power the facility for one week, in case of total power outage.

The new Hibernia Networks POP to ColocationGuard data center provides “significant and long-lasting benefits” to our customers”, says the COO of ColoGuard Enterprise Solutions, LLC. According to him, there is a growing demand for fast, secure and cost-effective IP transit service.
